This Ignite Phoenix Egg was sponsored by:

Tim's 1st Place Prize
A signed, fine art print from Tyson Crosbie
(valued at $495)

Phoenix 21 15: A 20x24 inch original fine art photograph from Crosbie's most recent series Phoenix 21.

Tyson Crosbie's fine art photographs appear to be abstract paintings or collages from many sources, but they they're actually composed of un-manipulated photographic images of found objects.

lyingtotellthetruth.com

"It is more than what I see and photograph, it transcends the object and touches on psychology, philosophy, emotion and expression. What others see is up to them and varies widely, however the best experience is to know yourself better after viewing the work." ~ Tyson Crosbie

Tim Giron got 'em right faster than four others

When Tyson first announced his "Phoenix 21" Home Exhibit on his website (link above), he asked people for whom he'd be installing one of his works in their home to do one thing for him. What?

Tim
"Talk honestly about what the experience was like."

Geppetto
Tyson said this specifically in this vlog when he first announced the Phoenix 21 Home contest.

Tyson has two dogs of this breed: ________.
Their names are _____ and ______.

Tim
"Jack Russell Terrier / Huxley and Squid"

"Sean Tierney / guitar"

Yelp - Phoenix (Egg # 1)

Congratulations
to Sharon Bowerman (@sbowerman)
on her 1st place win!

This Ignite Phoenix Egg sponsored by:

1st Place - Yelp Prize Pack!

This nifty lunchbox

+ A Yelp T-Shirt

+ a few extra goodies

Sharon got 'em right faster than anyone

Where did Yelp get its name?

Sharon - This one's tricky because you're asking "Where?" According to this Newsweek article, Yelp got its name from either a guy in their incubator room or from a domain name squatter, depending on how you look at it.

Geppetto - The name "Yelp" comes from a friend of the founders who simply liked the word. Here's a great article on the two guys in San Francisco who founded Yelp.

Which Ignite Phoenix # 5 presenter dedicated the presentation to his/her grandmother?

Sharon - Alison Bawor's talk was dedicated to her grandmother because she was constantly helping her use the bathroom.

The Smelly Dog is Green with Envy, but sure looks Hawt!
What does this have to do with Yelp Phoenix and Nov 8th?

Sharon - Green With Envy Organic Hair Studio is Hawt on Yelp starting November 8th (among quite a few other salons/spas).

Way to go, Sharon!
